Q. Harassment Problem, Need Advice. I have a problem with a girl who was the ex-girlfriend of a guy that I was in a serious relationship at one point. And she won't stop harassing me. It has been 2 1/2 years since this first started. She used to do it over the phone, and I had to change my number, twice, to stop that. At one time she even called my cell phone's customer service and claimed to be my mother (the name the plan is under) and was able to find out the new numbers. (We called the customer service the next morning after hearing the voice mails she has left, and found out what she had done, though the company said that they could only change the number for us again.) A. I'm a bit at a loss...you've tried so much, and you're getting so little support. Would going to your County Sheriff make a difference? Or the State Troopers? You might also go to your local District Attorney, or even call the State Attorney's office. Perhaps you can embarrass your local magistrates into action by going over their heads, and revealing their ineffectiveness. Here are some links I found that might help you. The first two are saved google searches I did, the first for 'how to stalker', and the second for 'stalking support' (no quote marks for either search).
