Religion in schools - Pastafarianism?
Q. My husband believes religion should be allowed in schools. I, on the other hand, am very Pro-separation of church and state. However, I am struggling a little because as a devoted Pastafarian, there is a small part of me that would love to have the teachings of the great FSM (blessed beef him) taught to our impressionable children. How can I reconcile my political beliefs with my wish to have the one true religion embraced by all? "Wish I could" - the only thing that could 'pop my bubble' would be if Mad Cow disease struck the US Midwest and I had to partake in the holy sacriment of his Rotelliness with ground chicken. A. May his noodly appendage touch you. I am sympathetic to your dilemma. I think you can spread the one true religion outside of school. Talk like a pirate whenever possible. Go ring doorbells early on Saturday morning and extol the virtues of his Noodleness to complete strangers. These things will certainly help.
